Who we are

We are the Excel Learning Trust Parents Campaign, an independent group of parents with children at schools within Excel Learning Trust in York. This website is run by the campaign and is not affiliated with Excel Learning Trust.

What information we collect

When you use this website, we may collect:

Your name — if you provide it via our contact form or petition
Your email address — if you contact us or sign up for campaign updates
Messages you send us — via our contact form
Your petition signature — including your name, and confirmation that you support the campaign

We only collect information you actively give us. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising networks, or analytics tools that collect personal data.

We will never sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than the purposes listed above.

If you sign up for campaign updates, we will only email you about this campaign. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email with the word “unsubscribe” and we will remove you promptly.

Who can see your data

Your personal data is only seen by core members of the Excel Learning Trust Parents Campaign who need it to run the campaign.

We may share petition signatures (names only, no email addresses) with Excel Learning Trust’s board of trustees, the Regional Director for Schools, or other relevant authorities as part of our formal campaign submissions.

We will not share your email address with anyone outside the campaign.

How long we keep your data

Contact form messages — we keep these for as long as the campaign is active, then delete them
Email addresses for updates — until you unsubscribe, or until the campaign ends
Petition signatures — for the duration of the campaign and any formal proceedings that follow

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

See what data we hold about you
Correct anything that’s inaccurate
Ask us to delete your data
Withdraw your consent to receive emails at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@excellearningtrustparents.org.uk and we’ll respond within 30 days.

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Hosting and data storage

This website is hosted by Hostinger. Your data is stored on servers in the UK and EU. Hostinger’s own privacy policy is available at hostinger.co.uk.

This policy may be updated as the campaign develops. Any significant changes will be noted at the top of this page with a new date.
